Passion sparks action: F’inn champions mental health
Using innovative tools and rigorous data, F’inn and Forsta shine a light on mental health challenges in America
F’inn, a US based insights consultancy, didn’t just want to study mental health—they felt compelled to act. They knew exactly who to team up with to make an impact: Forsta, their trusted partner in data collection and analysis. The bond between F’inn and Forsta runs deep. When it was founded F’inn used Decipher Surveys but the relationship has evolved since those early days. “We used to use the platform for full-service project management, programming and the platform itself. Now we simply manage our research [on a DIY basis] using their tool, which is very good,” says Bohnet, founder of F’inn. F’inn’s model revolves around keeping top-tier consultants close to the client, fostering trust and collaboration. That ethos has also led to what Bohnet calls their “passion projects”—self-funded research aimed at delivering value not just to their clients, but to the entire insights community.
The challenge
A crisis in mental health? The mental health project emerged from an undeniable truth: the US is in the midst of a mental health crisis. F’inn saw it up close in their personal lives and confirmed it through rigorous secondary research that lasted nearly a year. So, they set out to do their own primary research to uncover the true extent of the problem – to understand how many were suffering from poor mental health in America, who they were, what their habits were, and what factors contributed to their struggles.
