A custom fit: How Visualizations adapts to Ad Hoc’s offer

From concept testing to measures of employee engagement, customer experience and brand DNA measurement, Ad Hoc Research is far more than a research agency. They are recognized for their tailored research solutions to meet the specific needs of global, national, and provincial clients.

The challenge

Off-the-shelf solutions won’t cut it.

Ad Hoc’s competitive edge lies in its commitment to customized research, always keeping client needs at the core of every service they develop. To stay true to this promise, they require tools that offer the flexibility to deliver truly bespoke solutions. However, many platforms on the market proved too standardized for their approach. As Erica Horn puts it, “We are known in the industry for custom-made research and, so, a cookie-cutter platform doesn’t work with our unique selling point.”

Their deep level of personalization and attention to detail also came with a challenge: Limited resources meant they couldn’t take on as many clients as they would have liked. This issue was further compounded by their bilingual market. Based in Montreal, Canada, Ad Hoc naturally serves both French and English-speaking clients – platforms that didn’t support multilingual functionality ended up adding complexity rather than streamlining workflows.

Visualizations has been a flexible tool that allows us to answer our clients’ needs in a tailor-made way… So, it really helped sell us for who we are.

Our solution

Flexibility that fits

By partnering with Press Ganey, Ad Hoc tapped into the full capabilities of the Visualizations platform, most notably its flexibility and the strong support offered by the Press Ganey team. This partnership has enabled Ad Hoc to deliver adaptable, client-specific solutions that aligned perfectly with their tailored approach and have become a key part of their unique selling proposition.

But the partnership between Ad Hoc and Press Ganey doesn’t stop at simply using the platform. “We’re always pushing for new ways to work quicker internally… To streamline the process”, states Chanel Larivière, Senior Project Director at Ad Hoc Research, a daily user of Visualizations. The team works closely with Press Ganey to implement more features, which allow streamlined workflows and improved efficiency.

Chanel continues, “The ‘My Story’ feature enables us to create a PowerPoint deck… When we asked our clients, they said they use ‘My Story’ to export a report filtered by province, or age, and then build their own deck. You don’t have to redo it all manually.”

One of the standout features for Ad Hoc is Press Ganey’s multilingual functionality: “We’re in Quebec, so we have to have a French interface to work with a lot of big parapublic and public entities as well as local Quebec-based companies… Press Ganey enables us to simply translate the platform. Our clients can, in one click, be in French or in English if they want. Not a lot of platforms offer that,” Chanel explains.
